Membership and structure

Membership structure

EZT is a membership organization and structured with a Patron, Board of Directors, Management and Network of 300 Grassroots women and youth cultural and economic groups.

It has a supreme Annual General Meeting, an elected Board of Directors from the Annual General meeting, and Staff for its democratic governance. The board formulates policies, considers plans and reports, and supervises implementation of activities through periodic meetings and daily interaction with the staff.

Engabu Za Tooro Staff

At least 40% of EZT staff at any one time have to be women. The organization operates with both full time staff and volunteers. Currently EZT has two US Peace Corp volunteers, Brook Edwards and Lindsey Edwards.

Mr. Rwagweri Stephen, Executive Director (Head of Business) who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Social Administration (B.A (SWSA) from Makerere University, Diploma in Philosophy from Philosophical Center Jinja (PCJ). He has attended many short courses like Entrepreneurship Promotion Programme from NEISBUD New Delhi India and a facilitating development course CDRA from Cape Town South Africa.

He has ten years of work experience with Engabu Za Tooro a cultural organization as an Executive Director and he is the founder of the organization.

He is also the Chairperson of “Twerwaneho Listeners Club” Human Rights Organization, Was a Minister of Youth and Culture in Tooro Kingdom, is a Clan Leader- Abafumambogo Clan and Patron of several Social Cultural Associations
